Just aquired another gem from the incredible Jim Henson. Like The Cube, it's quite a mindfuck, but I like this one more. It's only about 9 minutes, but what a ride.
I'm sure Blackout will enjoy this.
I was a bit disappointed though about the color quality. Whenever they played clips in Henson biographies, they were in vivid color, but this copy here is almost in shades of tan. I've included a comparison shot below: ^How it should look.
 ^My copy
Considering it's a bootleg of a film from 1965, I really can't complain. I wish they'd come out with a dvd of all his early stuff.
Anyways, here's the link:

Ah. This one I actually knew about and have seen.
So when are you going to do the frame by frame color restoration?

Luckily, PowerDVD has color correction presets, so if I set it to "Vivid," it looks almost about right
Help!

My computer will self destruct.
Sorry Herby.
But, speaking of Henson, you guys know about that sequel to Dark Crystal coming out in September?

Watched it and yes it was the same film I actually saw a 16mm print of at a coffee house I used to frequent years ago called The Mud House.
Henson, as I always said, was a creative genius who 'got it'.
I could begin top analyze all the various meanings in this film but those who get it will get it and those who don't just think it's a bunch of randomn sillyness. As a matter of fact, if I remember correctly, I almost got in a huge fight with somebody over this same point when I applauded this as genius after it was doen and he said 'idiodic'.
Now I understand that someone will ALWAYS say 'idiotic'.
The idiots, and it's not my job to make them smarter, nor would you want to, because the geniuses couldn't be then. The idots have to make themselves smarter if they want to but most idiots are very content and happy being idiots and who would want to take somone's happiness away?
