Odessy, or however its spelled. Pretty sure thats first But not sure, cause they used to have those old movie machines in bars and such where you would drop a coin in and watch a woman take off pantyhouse or some other "erotic" thing. Those would be the first coin-ops, but not actual gaming console. Then came the pong craze, which led to home gaming. So, the odessy was one of the first home consoles. Sorry, I M ramblin', just like Willie.

Damn you Firecat, stole my thunder. But wasnt the Odyssey some sort of home console thing. You had to put a piece of plastic on your TV that had a design, or maze on it. You had to move a stupid dot around the screeen. ULTRA LAME
Virtual Boy, what an genius idea. Kids LOVE seizures.

Vectrex comes to mind.
And by consoles, do you mean to lump all the pong home consoles that were released into one title, or do we have to include all the cheap taiwanese knock-offs that came from Montgomery-Ward?
And what about the Japanese versions of some of those? Like the Famicom, Super Famicom, Megadrive, PC Engine, and so on?

I actually HAVE a Vectrex, with Scramble, Berzerk, and a few other games. Guests play it in the studio while waiting to go on and be interviewed by 2-XL.

OH MY GOD.
SEAN just gave me an XBOX DVD with emulators and EVERY game for EVERY platform and EVERY arcade rom EVER.
This is dangerous. I should not have this.
Take this away from me.
I just had a 5 hours session of 2600 hundred combat against an old foe.
NOW THAT'S HOW GOVERNMENTS SHOULD SETTLE ARUGUMENTS.
Fuck missiles and death and war and bloodshed and all that.
Atari 2600.
Two joysticks.
Combat.
Bring it.
I'll rock your world with any tank.

If you're going to tell the story, at least tell it right. It's 3 DVD's with ROMs from a good number of old consoles (NES, SNES, NeoGeo, Genesis, Sega Master, Atari 2600/5200/Lynx, MSX, MSX2, WonderSwan, Intellivision, Colecovision) and NEARLY every arcade Rom available for MAME - all playable on a modified xbox. I wasn't able to copy the 4th DVD with Gameboy, Gamegear and Gameboy Color roms. Plus look at the list of emulators I loaded up on the hard disk - there's more there like N64 and a few others that I can't recall.
Yes, they're evil - but oh so fun!

That's pretty impressive considering the large number of Japanese arcade games of yore (unreleased on these shores) MAME supports. Did you also include the alternate versions of each ROM?

Yeah there are like 10 versions of each game and like 4000+ games.
It's insane...
Atarikat, Bambi, and me, were just rocking ass in X-Men and Teanage Mutant Ninja Turtles the arcade versions.
This is bad... it's worse than crack.

The total number of games across all the emulator discs is over 32,000 - that's counting all the different consoles. That number might also include the Gameboy, Gameboy Advanced, Gameboy Color DVD that I have which I couldn't copy for Blackout. For some reason I could burn it from my original download but can't make an image from the DVD again. For all the geniuses about to chime in how easy it is to create a DVD image, remember this is a Xbox DVD in the XISO format which can only be read by an Xbox console and images can only be made by programs designed to access the Xbox DVD drive remotely. PC DVD Roms will not read this disc.
What a shame too, playing gameboy games on Blackout's projector would be insane.
