HAVE YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES TO HOST A RADIO SHOW On BLACKOUT.COM?
Ok I am going to be expanding on this with all of the needed qualifications and explanations but let me begin by saying we will be going to a 24/7 on air all the time station in both broadband and dialup streams, and I say WE because I obviously am not going to be on all the time - so I am looking for hosts with UNIQUE show ideas that fit within this site's philosophy and creative ideals:

There are certain technical specifications you need to meet to be a show host on BLACKOUT.COM RADIO. First off, you must have broadband. 2ndly, you must be somewhat familiar with audio and your computer. The complete and various ways of running a show and logging in and out of the shoutcast server are varied and the software to run a show is varied and can be explained but if you are a complete neophyte when it comes to these things then you should probably learn a bit about running and hosting a show before applying. Or you might want to consider just doing a pre-recorded segment that I could include in rotation, but I am looking for LIVE hosts most importantly.
Number two, this is not a paid position - this is simply volunteer at this time.

Responding to this thread might be a good idea if you want to get some feedback from other users as to if they think it's a good show idea or not. I do not want a show that is like any other show on shoutcast, terrestrial, or satelite radio. This doesn't mean your subject or format can't be done - it just means that it had better have a unique creative twist or spin to it. All show hosts who are accepted are on a test run basis, and please don't feel bad if you are yanked or moved around to a different slot or ect ect - there will be lots going on as we transitatiion BLACKOUT RADIO to 24/7 and the site gets a major revamp as well. BLACKOUT.COM is being taking to the SWAN and having a facelift.
Until there are new LIVE show hosts, I will as usual be doing Blackout's Box LIVE! on Thursday nights from 9pm to 2am eastern time, and then there will be old show repeats and music, prank, talk, sketch, comedy programing between LIVE shows as live shows are added.
This is another thing - if you are any sort of entertainer or artist or speaker or anything that has to do with audio and you would like to be considered to be put into rotation, please contact me here or use radio@blackout.com
PLEASE DO NOT SEND long files through e-mail. Anything under 4 minutes MP3 is ok but I would prefer you post a link to it and not send the actual file through the mail so I could check it out when I have the time. Blackout.com gets a lot of mail and I don't want big files gunking up the system. Thanks.
