With all the TV celebrity poker madness that has been going on, everybody is trying to play poker now. This is good news for online players.
I had the pleasure of meeting up with some of the gang this past Friday for a night of intense Texas Hold Em poker madness at the beautiful and insane sex Doctor (and Blackout's Box legal consultant) from the radio show and site - Dr Charmaine's house (Elf.. on the boards). Unfortunately, I got ripped into pretty badly by some schemeing females very early in the game and the evil doctor Elf took the pot. Next time I will have to be more cunning. 7 card stud is really more my game and I was a little thrown off with the Hold Em.
In any case, it got me to thinking, I play poker online many times at Empirepoker.com and Partypoker.com, they are pretty much the same place but I like empire a little better, (it uses the Blackout's Box colors) and you can create private tables. I have won and can tell you from experience that it is not a scam, and it is safe to play with real money. You play against real people, not computers, and there are a lot of sucky players there so if you pick a good table and know your poker, it's not hard to win. They advertise on all those celebrity TV poker games so there are tons of sucky players online all the time. When you want to cash out, they deposit the money right into your bank account, netteller, firepay, paypal, credit card, send you a check or whatever it is you like to use. (Such is not the case with paradisepoker.com which I believe to be a big hoax) The only money they make is a 5% rake of the pot per hand, and you dont have to tip the delear like at a real casino.
So for any of you who are up to it, I propose a challenge, I want to get a Blackout's Box online poker game going. Who will take me on? I can imagine the tension with a table with me, Vinas, Shostie, Elf, DoniGirl, CarrotVagina, KDGAY, Herbert, Ampersand, Heggy.... ooops table full already.

I'll be in after the new year. Closing on my condo in 2 weeks and a lot of $$$ is going to be spent (new TV, some new furniture, etc.) as well as the holidays coming up.
After that though, I'll be more than happy to jump in for some no-limit Hold 'em. (and meanwhile, I'll practice some 7 card stud for free)

I play on Party Poker now and then in the play money room. So far I've amassed around $10,000 of fake money, which I think is pretty good. As for real money, honestly, I'll only play with real money if I can see the actual person. Online, you can't see your oponent, so you really can't determine who's bluffing or what.

And as to Shostie, I think the playing online makes you a slightly better card player because you have to really play the cards more than watch bullshit expressions. But there are online ways to tell if people are bluffing ect as well. Their timing... betting style.. ect. It's definately diferent, and I prefer to play in a real room to, but it is kinda cool to be able to just log on any time and play, and where else are we going to get to play with all of us from around the world at a REAL table? You paying for the plane tickets? Or maybe we'll use Princess's $5000 for that. Anyway... you've seen us in real life so you can.. IMAGINE our poker faces.
In any case, the biggest fear that most people have about online play is that the company or computer will scam your money (like the computer slot machines in casinos... whatever happened to good old machanicle noisy whirly slot machines?)
and that, I can vouche for, is not the case. I have won several times and they are legit. There are no 'computer' players or bots or card manipulation. You play against the real people you play against... and there be some suckers on there lemme tell ya. ![[Sucker]](graemlins/suckersmiley.gif)

Ahhh thank you Herbert. I was trying to do it with html code and it wasn't working. I;m a bit rusty on my code and was having some problems. I want to change the sponsor at the top of the box from the picture place to empire poker too, but for some reason when I enter the code the board is crashing. No... haven't tried that one. I am committed to the empirepoker.com now. It's the only one that seems to pay you fast when you win and I like the layout and style, and it matches the box color scheme! I made $650 once starting out with $50 in like 6, 7 hours.. that's my record.
I tried partypoker which is the same as empire but ugly as hell and slow to pay, and also paradisepoker.com which has great software but I believe is a scam, any time I cashed out some money I seemed to lose immediately all I left in to play with.
I was thinking.... these places make tons of money on the rakes... they dont care who wins or loses because they make money every hand and their are thousands of hands being played per minute, so imagine the cash flow into their bank account just from their 5%, so there is really no reason to cheat the player.
Steve can program, Randy has server space in amsterdamn, lets start Blackout's Box Online Casino.

PartyPoker mixes it's players with Empirepoker, but I have found empire to be much faster and less ugly and more reponsive than party... but a partypoker player can see and play against empirepoker player and vice versa... empire's better though, and the delears are all girls. ![[Eye brow raise]](graemlins/eyebrowraise.gif)

Ahh playing poker online is fun, but playing the real thing with friends, beer, cigars is the best! last night we had a game, and there are all sorts of games like Texas Hold em, Kings and lows, Pregnent three's and more, I just play somtimes on partypoker not for real money for a few practice rounds =)
