I don't know why you are all excited about mp3Pro, because there has been a format that will allow awesome quality at half the bitrate: Ogg Vorbis.

Ye aI love Ogg. It sucks though that my upgradable firmware Mp3 CD player has too little memory and I'd have to pick between Mp3 (regular not PRO) or Mp3 and WMA!

Ogg beats the crap out of mp3 pro, because its sharper, and more glass like, instead of the slushy mpeg codec.

I don't know. While I usually am the trumper of progress... at some point it does become annoying to go converting and converting again. The point of this show is to sound clear and sharp to most listeners and for them to be able to tune in easily. A lot of people who tune into the show have no idea of codecs and don't follow my recommendations about mp3pro at all, yet luckily, they still have mp3 so everything works. Everyone has a machine that has something take over as it's mp3 player. I am not going to start broadcasting in a proprietary format that no one has unless the benefits are monumental. All I would be doing would eb further isolating listeners such as I am doing now by having these old archaic real audio recording that are no longer supported. Since everyone has mp3 and mp3 meets my technical standards of sounding good and mp3pro sounds even better, I think I am going to stick with that format for now. To go and change to ogg vorbis or whatever would just be induldging in more technical wastes of time with very little added benefit and that is too far into geek and for me. I want to create stories and experiences not spend my time endlessly compressing data.
