Blackout or anyone else, I am wondering if you could provide some advice possibly on setting up a radio show. A friend of mine in Russia and I want to do a show so I am trying to figure out the best way that we get both of us on the line from different locations and be able to have listener call ins.
Blogtalkradio.com looks like a good starting point like what Fenian Timelord is doing with 'What the Fnord! ' and I guessing I could probably incorporate Skype to handle the conferencing.
Beyond that, is there any advice you can give on how to get a shoutcast streamsetup and how you would handle this sort of setup using that?

we are going to try and do a test show together this Sunday ( tomorrow ) at noon PST (3pm EST) on BlogTalkRadio even though it is "The Gay"
Blogtalkradio does how ever provide an easy means to at least get off the ground and quickly start doing a live show.
If you are curious about my audio setup here it is:
I have an AKG Perception 100 Diaphram studio mic connected to an Alesis MultiMix8Firewire which I am then connecting to the PC via my Line in on the sound card because I don't seem to be able to get drivers for the firewire connection of the mixer in vista. Boooo
So then I setup Skype to take the Mic input as the Line in and then I am good. The only down side I have with this current setup is that i monitoring the sound from the PC so that I can hear the conversation and thus I am not able to monitor my own levels in my headphones which is not a big deal but that sort of live monitoring is helpful when you get into things like applying effects to your voice and such.
Really with I could get the mixer to connect with firewire so i would not have this issue. Almost tempted to see if I can get a second machine setup running XP just so can do that.
