Ok..here's another movie! I was so completely horrified at this movie..that I didn't even bother finishing it! It had the best reviews and the best advertising on the tv, but when I was watching it I was thinking...HUH? The movie really doesn't go anywhere at all! Does anyone have any views on this movie?

I find that movie to be very effective if you are having trouble sleeping. Just pop that movie in and off you will go to a quiet slumber land.

I agree that the movie was boring but I don't think it was that bad. I'm more into the deeper points of movies and this one made a strong point about the desire to live as you fantacise living. Very similar to fight club, this movie demonstrates how strong the will of a human can be, if someone wants something so bad subconsiously, they will make it happen. In Fight Club he created his ideal self to help him live life as he wished he could, and in Mr. Rippley's case, he killed and stole the life of the person that he desired to be.

Yes, your right, but there was more of a story to Fight Club. There was nothing to this movie whatsoever. The ending was so terrible. You may disagree, but how could they just end it stupidly like that? I don't understand why they made such a big deal at the theatres for this.

Yeah, that just didn't make any sense at all. What was his motivation for doing that? They were getting away together, and he had money. Maybe he was just addicted to murder by that point or something.

I think your right! What I don't under stand is that when he asked his new boyfriend who "he" (sorry I forget Mr. Ripley's first name) was, his new boyfriend was saying all these nice things about him and telling him how he's so scared to open up to him. I didn't understand him murdering him while he was saying these thing's. I think addiction to murder is the only conclusing!
