I KNOW Alex has the footage shot to fix this though. I know he has MORE than enough, and I'm keping the faith.
ALEX! RE-EDIT THIS BEOTCH! [ 05-07-2007, 10:35 AM: Message edited by: Blackout ]

You are the timeless being that created & perceives itself through those things, and you have the power to play or not play that game. When someone asks me "what do you do?" looking for some title to pin me down, I laugh and say "EVERYTHING!" - Blackout

quote: Originally posted by bunny_foofoo: Personally, I am not a mockumentary fan. Like, Best IN Show, Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind...the format feels like a 5 minute skit on SNL that is dragged out.
So, the genere I am not a fan of.
It still needed to be edited some. I felt the ending was forced. Like I felt YOUR character should have been accused first, then a little more explaination by Scoop.
But he did it for 10K and in 9 days (or so his press kit says). It is marketable with some editing. It may do well on the film festival circit if the industry has a humor about itself. So marketing wise, the inside joke may help it sell. Or at least help win an audience award.
Color correction was bothering me too. I know it was supposed to loook raw, but everything was very red.
On a positive note, I loved most of the actors takes/spins on the industry characters, including yours. John Adams was great on the lawyer who was also a singer/songer writer. Even the non-artists are artists.
I agree with you on most points. The color correction and sound may have been due to the transfer from HD to digibeta. Digibeta is a pretty old format and so the film at least half or more of it's resolution and color depth and the sound mix sounded awful.
I have removed my full comments that I e-mailed over to Alex the next morning after the premiere and I apologize for posting them here, I jumped the gun a little too quickly and should have kept those private. My bad.
