Prepare yourselves.
First we did it to the website, and now it's time to give the LIVE internet radio show a facelift.
Blackout's Box LIVE! 2.0 is coming, a revolution in sound quality and internet broadcasting.
Not tonight. Too much work, but by the next show, I will be broadcastig in a new format called mp3PRO. This is CD quality and sounds better than FM stations, yet somehow manages to do it at only a 64k bitrate, so even the slowest dsl should be able to listen.

The Thompson Mp3PRO PLayer/Encoder
Say yes when it askes to be your standard mp3 player, and it can handle playing all of your normal mp3s, plus the new mp3PRO format, and my show. If you log into live365 choose mp3 player, and it will use this program to hear the show in SUPERB CD quality. It's quite amazing.
If you already listen to the show with Winamp and prefer it as your standard player, you can simply download this:

After installing, Winamp will be able to hear the full quality of the new mp3PRO codec. We now sound just as good, if not beter, than any broadcasting FM sation in the world. This is also because I have a full studio so you are hearing voices live, encoded only once to stream to you, and the music is also WAV files, encoded only once to stream to you. Most other internet broadcasters use nornmal mp3s which get encoded AGAIN at a lower bitrate before it hits you, and the sound quality sucks.
I'm telling you, if you have good speakers, turn em up because the next show is going to amaze you, it's beter than any internet broadcasting I've heard at standard mp3 at much higher bit rates.
NOTE: mp3PRO is backwards compatable, in that if you listen to my live show and didn't install the new mp3PRO codec, you will still be able to hear the show, but you will be hearing it in a lower fidelity 22khz instead of CD quality 44.1, and why would you want to do something like that, so go download one of the above programs.
It is good though that's it's backwards compatible because I can tell nebies who haven't read this that they are missing out and to go download the new codec.
