Tonight's show will include angry Zebras and Okapi stores, as well as Prince, and talks on what 'detachment' is and isn't.
Here's a summary:
Detachment is not disengaging, or being apathetic, or not caring. Detachment is being the silent observer behind all of that - detachment is your rock of eternal spirit. Detachment is knowing it is all a story, the best and worst of it, and not forgetting that and getting lost and overly caught up in the trance. Detachment is being awake and aware, not asleep, and detachment is the Okapi. A detached person engages in all things more fully than someone attached, because the detached soul sees everything in everything.
Sometimes though, lingerie can make me forget this.

Detachment removes the emotions, the proclivity to take things personally, by becoming the third party to your situation. You lose nothing, and gain lucidity, when you can focus your mind and remove the cloud of opinion and emotion from a given situation. This does not necessarily relate to violent acts done to you either, because to detach in love allows you to fully love the party who offers love to you, and accept the offer of love with a true intellect. By detaching the self, you remove past and current opinions as well as prejudice from the process of experience, thus you absorb the whole offering of the moment, with the static of your mind removed. A Zen Koan teaches that you cannot learn with a cup overflowing, your cup must be empty to refill it and learn. Detachment is a way to empty your ever playing mindscape cup, allowing you the space to focus clearly,absorb and comprehend an experience for what it truly is. Detachment is a way to fine tune your mind and remove the static of the past and the now, allowing for clear Dolby Digital Living in the moment.

No actually we haven't. We've done addiction.. which is close. but not obsession. Maybe we'll get into that.

I think I might be obsessed with blackout. I just spent the whole weekend listening to about every past show on here and every prank that would play on my poo poo computer and I have not nearly had enough.
Am I obsessed or addicted? or both?

They are very close from what I understand of them.
Addiction is something you need, and have trouble living without. Obsession is something you want, and can't stop thinking about.
That's my take on them, I don't know if that's the actual meaning/difference of them though.
So...possibly you're both Monica?
It would be cool to listen to people talk about their obsessions, and see how they affect their life, mind, and body.
