I finally gave in. After bumping in to a gaggle of giggling girls at Super Walmart at 3am and having them convince me I simply must be on myspace.. nothing like a gaggle of giggling girls to convince you. Maybe it was the hat? I duno.. in any case, I now have two myspace.com accounts, a personal one:
http://myspace.com/blackoutsbox
and then a band account...yes, I am forming a new band...a new kind of band with many rotating members. More details soon to follow but here is the myspace for that:
Blackout and the Rabble-Rousers
The domain for the band link seems to be messed up. It is supposed to work with http://myspace.com/blackoutandtherabblerousers
but it's not. I sent them an e-mail. The recompression on the music kind of sucks.
So many people have been telling me over and over to get a myspace.com account for promotion purposes but I just couldn't figure out why I would be bothered with doing that when I already have my own space here at blackout.com. Why would I go and throw yet another companies name in front of me...?
Well...now I get it. I figured out the phenominon of myspace and why so many bagillion people are on it. It is simply because people don't know how the hell to make a web pages or host pictures or music and everyone wants to and myspace makes it ridiculously easy and connects everyone together randomly as well as through linked networks and so the apparently have dominated that market. There servers appear to be severely overloaded No need for a dating or romance site where you have to PAY to meet someone when everyone and there mom appears to be on my space. The down side being there are a lot of REALLY stupid people there but that goes for any public like place. You can also find and connect with incredibly intelligent people or talanted people in your area of cerativity rather fast and then bring the conversation off of the cluttered my space. My space definately is the king of gaudyness you will find it everywhere and I can't seem to make it follow my html commands correctly, but I have to say, within like 20 minutes of making a personal account and then an account for my new band Blackout and the Rabble Rousers... I had like 20 friends and had a talk with several interesting people as I was adding content to the pages. Bizarre but neat. I imagine another company will try to out do this and make the interface cleaner but just like with e-bay competitors it may be too late because such a pardon my language "shot ton" of people are already on the myspace that catching up seems nearly impossible.
Anyway, my goal is to use it as a networking tool to find some cool artists locally to help out, and also to bring cool people into the world of the box. We shall see how it pans out.
If anyone else has one of these accounts feel free to leave your link here and we'll all ad eachother like gay little lovebirds.

Mind you, it was a 17 year old girl (yes, 17, as in illegal for Blackout) that convinced him.
'Nuff said.

You have to check out Adama -- she's a super-hot Egyptian/British/kung-fu singer, and Blackout just happens to have her in his friends list! I added her and hope to talk to her soon and tell her how much I like her music
http://www.myspace.com/12263144 is my site. Guess I don't warrant a name But if I did it would be EazyCheeze.

Adama is going to be a guest on the show soon so you'll get a chance to talk with her. Her myspace account gets pretty flooded as she has had it for a while.

Viva le Myspace.
I confess that I too have sought refuge in the cold and clammy hands of a myspace account. And it's great! I can see better and all the numbness has left my hands!
Here is the link to the information superhighway portal: www.myspace.com/iftekaruddin

haha i'm surprised it took you this long to get a myspace account.. EVERYONE is on myspace. (that's nothing to brag about.) I'm on myspace.. (you found me & added me)... and I'm ashamed. haha.
congratulations, though! (oh and for the band, isn't the url supposed to be MUSIC.myspace.com/blahblahblah ?)

Well, you know me, I'm a rebel and don't like to "run with the herd" so I resisted myspace as being a "place for jackasses who can't figure out how to make their own web page" for a long time, and honestly, that's exactly what it was, but with the brilliant feature of the random networking which has turned it into a very very useful tool even though it still has some huge flaws in its design. 19 million frikken users there is no way any other site is going to ever catch up unless they did something so miraculous to beat myspace (like give you a gig of space and unlimited bandwidth) and even then I doubt they could catch up. It's like another auction ste trying to compete with e-bay it's just too late for that because no one would list their stuff on a site with less people. All dating sites are pretty much dead in the water too now I think. Why would you pay $50 to be on some lame dating site with limited people when you have everyone and there mom on this damn myspace thing. I had to give in and just get one and my goal is total myspace domination within a few months so everyone who has it forward all my myspace links and tell your friend syou'll behead them and feed them old rotten pickled herring in their last dying moments if they don't add me:
http://myspace.com/blackoutsbox
That's the main one I am pushing and it will always link to my other ones. I have three in total now for different things.
I already have the most killer myspace account at http://myspace.com/blackoutbox because NO one can figure out how to do their own video like that. I can't tell you how many e-mails I have gotten about that video. Everyone and their mom has some bad rap video from the same service... it's annoying and I think I'm going to start deleting people who have bad rap videos or Britney up on their space.
Myspace might feature me if I forward them enough e-mails, and if I get featured, that means all 19mill people see Blackout's Box on the main page when they log in so PLEASE, if you want to help me and this site, everyone WRITE into myspace and tell them WOW how did this guy do this feature him yada yada yada.
To keep everyone here interested I am going to put special secret myspace only videos up once in a while, with special sauce too.
I also added a new myspace acount for prank calls and I can't believe no one took the url, I got lucky.
http://myspace.com/prankcalls
Yay. Add that one too.
As far as the band name... I don't know WHY that's all fucked up it should be:
http://myspace.com/blackoutandtherabblerousers
But that does not work even though that's what it says is my url in my account. It was too long or something and Iw rote etch support but getting an answer from them is like getting Jesus to show up for coffee. So for now, it is this long ass url: http://www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=18584608&Mytoken=20050614195454
That's for people who would kindly include it in their e-mailings, but here is the short version htmled and hidden:
Blackout & The Rabble Rousers
Please help me with the myspace domination plans. I have a simple goal for my friend count.
I want to beat TOM. I want to have more than EVERYONE on my list.
I know I can do it.
