Finally out of a shit-hole known as high school. Graduation was long and boring, and everybody congratulates me. I know that it's all meant for the good when they do this, and that they don't mean to insult me. But high school is a public institution, and as such, it is obscenely easy to pass. Even with my courses (I took all the highest I could possibly take) .. but now I'm out of there.. next semester I start college.. but more importantly, I sort of have more free time! I'm still working tons of hours, but you should be seeing more of me around here.

But I swear, if any of you decide to drop out and not say anything for a few months now that I'm back, I will take it personally and cry myself to sleep.

That said, 'tis great to be back!

Congrats.
I dunno why but I always assumed you were a lot older. *shrugs* You'll have a lot of fun in College. Not that the classes are all that more challenging than in High School (depends on your major, naturally) it's just a lot more laid back and they actually do reward you for using your head occassionally.
And tommorrow I start Summer School. That 2 weeks off was fun, but I start to feel like Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now..."when I'm in the jungle all I can think of is home...when I'm at home...all I can think of is when I can get back into the Jungle again."
Naturally a paraphrase, but yeah...I've kinda missed class these past two weeks since I don't work and have nothing else productive to do other than download internet porn and practice with the band.

Hey, you think you're happy? I, as a high school teacher, am thrilled that school's out for summer.

And, I know that it doesn't feel like much of an accomplishment, but it really is. It's the culmination of many years of hard work. Also, remember that not everyone had it as "easy" as you did. Some really had to struggle to share the same stage you walked across in your dress and funny hat. Be glad that it's over, appreciate it for what it was, and remember that there's a time and a place for everything and it's called college.
