Ok, it's past the 6th so I can name drop at least ONE of the Sundance nominated projects now, it is a short film called Awol.
Still waiting on the other that I was an ACTOR in. I sound mixed for Awol. That's right bitches I'm a multi talented hat wearing freak of entertainment.
And not to toot my own kazoo, but wooooooooahhh does Sundance do something for you because... well let's see how to explain this.
There are about 8 billion people in the world. Out of those there is a rough estimate of 2-4 million 'actors' out there.... out of that estimate there are only about 400,000 or less working actors.. (even getting a small amount of pay like... cab fair..) out of that rough estimate there are only 200,000 registered SAG (Screen Actors Guild Actors) who acting is there chosen and "tax declared" profession.
I refused to join SAG at the current time because there was too much money in non union projects and I was not a big enough name to turn them down...
IMDBpro keeps track of everyone and keeps a running #rank of all actors in the world like hollywoods Q number system (measures an actors pull and public name recognition / popularity) the imdbpro calls it the "starmeter" but it's baically the same thing. Currently, Daniel Radcliff is the most in demand and well paid actor in the world for instance, because of the overwhelming popularity of Harry Potter. Johnny Depp is somewhere around #3 or 4 in the world.
Before Sundance I was sitting somewhere at around 300,025 thousand in world rank... not great, but nor horrible considering.... but in the last week my "starmeter" rose 640% and I am now ranked at 99,397! Woooohoo, that beats half of sag and I am not even a SAG member yet!
So look out Johhny Depp and Daniel Radcliff.... only 99,396 positions up to go!!!! (cue "Eye of the Tiger" theme song and workout training montage & Prince - "Baby I'm a Star")

It is about time they caught up with your awesomeness. I know its not quite as super amazing as Sundance but Austin Film Festival is great exposure too.

When I make my two films in 2011 you'll be seeing them at a lot of festivals so you never know.
