You obviously didn't catch the statement and way-deeper meaning in Fight Club. The movie wasn't really supposed to have much of a plot or story. It explains a VERY STRONG opinion of life and what goes on around us, and I don't know many people that can say that Fight Club's message didn't hit too close for comfort. People hated it or people loved it. I loved it.

Yea They probably could've had an EXELENT movie with the whole thing behind it plus a good story line. But minus the story, you really notice the meaning. But when someone throws a movie about disgruntled blue collars starting fight clubs and eventually a national terrorist organization, right after the school shootings, they obviously weren't expecting an award, plus it was from a book.

I love that film[American Beauty] It carrys a much deeper meaning than almost any other film. But it is only a western remake of Ang Lee's "the ice storm", not an original idea. Ang Lee also directed "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
