Entrapping his soul in the ecstacy of their lies unable to fathom a grim future the fog begins to lift from his mind now he sees what he has done the destruction of the world by the hands of men trampling the flowers in the fields now red with blood weep for the world torn asunder
A would-be king sits upon his throne of dirt his subjects have gone, he is alone the life extinguished from his eyes his life the prize he no longer values upon his knees he falls and prays for the heavens to take them all
This shroud of secrecy encasing a silent betrayal in love trust was forsaken he did not see it was all by his hand in his ignorance he killed them all the smashing of gates the clashing of steel hollow the rings in his ears as his betrayal returns to spill the blood from his throat

I like the poem.
I hope you are not reffering to me... but even if you are... a good poem still. [ 04-09-2005, 08:52 AM: Message edited by: Blackout ]

You are the timeless being that created & perceives itself through those things, and you have the power to play or not play that game. When someone asks me "what do you do?" looking for some title to pin me down, I laugh and say "EVERYTHING!" - Blackout

Nah not referring to you man, it's a poem I wrote a little over a year ago.

If I remember correctly, it was after hearing a friend play this death metal he is obsessed with.
Technically I guess it isn't as much poetry as much as it is creative writing, I'm not sure I would call myself a poet. *shrug*
